isle-towers-sardinia-milanOn this occasion, in fact, from May 6th to November 29th, the Civic Museum of Milan will host the exhibition “The Island of the towers, treasures of Nuragic Sardinia”.

Born to celebrate the figure of the tireless Sardinian archaeologist Giovanni Lilliu, the exhibition presents the main findings of the last two decades, thanks to which it was possible to redesign the history of the Nuragic civilization. More than a thousand exhibits, including many unprecedented or recently acquired, from all over Sardinia, as representatives of the many archaeological sites located throughout the island.

nuraghi-sardiniaAt the same time at Palazzo Litta, in front of the Civic Museum, will also take place an exhibition of photographs dating back to the ’80s, carried out by Gianni Berengo Gardin. The shots of Berengo Gardin was given, in 1985, the task of documenting the first stay of the Sardinian nuraghi in Milan.

30 years after that first meeting between the megaliths of Sardinia and the City of Milan, visitors are offered a new unmissable chance to immerse themselves in the surreal and magical atmosphere of these stone giants, mysterious and silent witnesses of an era that has deeply marked the history of the island and its role in the Mediterranean.

An interesting opportunity to witness the fascinating new meeting between two histories and two cultures that, while belonging to the same country, turn out to be profoundly different from each other.

Santa Teresa on the wind!

Double victory for Santa Teresa, stunning location in Gallura, which this year will entrust to the tireless Sardinian winds both the Blue Flag of the FEE and the Green Flag awarded by Italian pediatricians.

santa-teresa-bandiera-verde-2015Sardinia is certainly not new to the Blue Flags, which in 2015 were 7, awarded each year by the FEE, the Federation for Environmental Education. Recognition born in 1987, European Year of the Environment, that’s an annual assessment of seaside resorts of 48 countries. Prince criterion, which entitles the candidacy, is the quality of water, followed by other important parameters such as waste water treatment, waste management, regulation of traffic, security and services on the beach.

Just starting from the list of beaches awarded with the Blue Flag, the Milanese psychiatrist Italo Farnetani has created the Green Flags, an initiative that aims to highlight the places that are distinguished by a number of characteristics that make them particularly suitable for children.

santa-teresa-bandiera-blu-2015The formula is simple: clear and low water near the shore, so that children can dive safely, clean sand to build castles, preferably with a little space between the umbrellas so that they can do it without straying too far from their parents, lifeguards security and possibly beach games for children, with ice cream parlours, pizzerias, lounge bars in the surroundings.

Very few ingredients for a winning recipe, guarantee of serenity and relaxation for adults, and of carefree and safe fun for children. 2015 has therefore awarded Santa Teresa di Gallura, which for the current season will adorn itself with both flags, mute spokespersons for quality and excellence of the Sardinian town.

Resurrection of Christ, but also spring festival and seasonal rite of passage, which seems to derive its name from the Aramaic word “pasha”, namely “passage”.

Different scenographies come to life in the various countries, revealing their peculiar identities and making themselves background of the numerous processions and performances of the three fundamental moments of this holiday: the Passion of Christ, “Su Scravamento”, or deposition from the cross, and “S’Incontru”, the meeting between Jesus and his mother, the Virgin Mary.
